I read about Gray Line tours in New York before going. After reading reviews, I found a downtown tour with Allan France and the revuews are correct. His greeting to each person entering the bus is genuine, engaging, warm and humorous. My vote goes to Mr. France as for being the No. 1, tour guide in New York City. Try him, and you’ll like him.

We purchased tickets at the Port Authority Bus Station 42nd St and 8th Ave on Monday Oct 30th on a oversold and windy day. We were told before we got on the bus that it was a English only bus as the headset system was not working properly. Many people that got on the bus did not speak English well and were NOT offered ear phone, we got our from a empty seat. The guide did a very POOR job of pointing out landmarks but had jokes about different celebrities living in that area. If you go on top, YOU CAN NOT STAND UP as you WILL BE HIT IN THE HEAD BY A SIGN. The guide spent most of the time yelling at the non-english speaking tourist to sit down as they continued NOT TO UNDERSTAND the danger. Research the bus line before you make a purchase.

Dear jcarrico2, Thank you for your review. We continually check for equipment failure and try our best to make sure our guest can experience the tours in their language.
