I took my 7 and 9 year old grandsons on this tour. They really enjoyed the scavenger hunt through downtown , Chinatown and North Beach. The scavenger hunt made the tour much more interactive instead of just listening to a tour guide. The pace and amount of walking were good for both my grandsons and myself (age 67). However I did let them go to the top of the crooked Lombard street with Beth ( the guide) while I waited at a cafe. There was a couple from the Netherlands who had 5 and 8 year old children. My grandsons enjoyed the friendly competitive aspect of trying to find the items first. Although I have been to San Francisco many times and seen many of the traditional tourist sites, I really enjoyed getting a closer look to Chinatown.

We used City Clues Adventures to plan a treasure hunt for a group of tour guides from all over the country at our semi-annual conference. The treasure hunt was not only a great team building activity but also highlighted San Francisco's culture and history. Everyone had a fabulous time. It was a great thinking -outside- of- the- proverbial- box opportunity for everyone to get to know each other...and to get out of the hotel conference room. They had a BLAST! Thanks Beth! Jean F. One of my girl friends got engaged and placed myself and another friend in charge of her bachelorette party. I wanted something fun for the out of town folks, but nothing too expensive. I came across City Clues Adventures on google and decided to give it a shot. I got in touch with Beth and Linda and found them to be very responsive and informative. They emailed me back promptly and were able to cater to my bachelorette theme requests. Throughout the tour they gave us various scavenger hunts to do. They gave us enough "alone time" that we didnt feel overwhelmed or crowded, but were there to give us plenty of things to keep us occupied. Linda took lots of pictures of our group and emailed them to me the day after our tour. I don't have one negative thing to say about this tour and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, low budget activity to do with friends in San Francisco. One tip: be sure to wear comfy shoes, as there is a lot of walking. Thanks Beth and Linda for a memorable day in the city with friends!
