A BIG YES TO TOA LUAU! If you’re looking for an intimate authentic (and educational) island experience in a remote village without feeling old time-y or cheesy, TOA Luau is it! Upon arriving, you are greeted with a lei and shown to your seat. To the right of the dining area are several stations set up. This is interactive with short demonstrations and hands-on experience on how to make a headpiece, crack a fresh coconut, etc... The host, cousin Billy is a great captivating story teller with necessary humor to keep things light yet informative without sounding monotone and boring. They demonstrate how a traditional tribal meal is prepared and cooked as well as their welcoming ceremony. A delicious dinner is then served and you can ask for as much food as you want! The roasted pig was my favorite. Although they just started offering luaus 4 years ago, it’s a well-greased show from start to finish. I was engulfed in how committed each performer was to their routine. They all looked like they enjoyed themselves and that made a difference. Although intimate, there were no compromises in the production value. I hands down recommend TOA over any other commercial and large luau if you’re in Oahu. It’s located in the a North Shore off the main road that leads to a beautiful remote village... an oasis all on it’s own. I didn’t experience any mosquito when I was there so 10 stars if I could! (Was there at the the end of March, 2021)

Amazing experience!! This was a very intimate Luau with an incredibly talented family who made us all feel like we were a part of their family! They shared many aspects of their culture with us, prepared and served us a delicious meal, then put on a show like no other!! Didn't want the evening to end and would love to go back again!!
