This was a perfect excursion for the three of us with my 80 year old mother in law. The first class car has wonderful snacks with champagne or apple cider. You go through the entire canyon with some extremely close cliffs going straight up! One of the bridges was quite the nail-biter and was very high. They have open air cars along with closed air-conditioned cars. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean and spacious. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to be sure we had fun and saw the hot spots. The train station was very nice with a passable restaurant (avoid the Käse Spätzle at all costs). Free parking - gift shop.

The veiws are fabulous! The train was socially distanced with 50% or less capacity in each car. This was so relaxing chugging along the Verde River and all the beautful terrain. Our onboard host was Grace and our guide was Lynda. They each did a fabulous job making sure all guests were comfortable. The boxed cheese and fruit was a great snack. The service and information of where we were, what the history is and where to look or be camera ready for a good shot coming up was great! One thing that made it especially nice was the car was all adults so we caould relax without children running up and down the car. That was very thoughtful planning and made it VERY relaxing. The train supplied a lot of bottled water and reminded us to drink water as it was warm out in the open cars. There are other options for purchase such as cocktails, wine, beer, softdrinks, coffee and tea. Right side in first class is 2 people per section. Left side has two couches facing each other and room for four people.
