We rode in the Sedona car which had a full bar, tables for two, and comfy couches. Our host was young and energetic. She added an extra fun element to the trip. She told us when it was best to go out to the open air car to see the neat rock formations among other wonders. In this crazy fast paced world we lived in today, it was nice to take a slow, relaxing rail trip to slow down, breathe, and enjoy our natural wonders. We look forward to our next trip.

Lovely experience for scenery and photography. Overall enjoyable experience but a little on the pricey side. Pros: Love the narration recording on the way out to the turn around point. Lot's of great info about the landmarks you were going to pass and history of the train. Ample and free parking at the depot. Easy to find. We were in a first-class car so we had our own "open-air" car with LOTS of room. Snack tray was very good. ALL of the employees were wearing masks and doing a lot of interim wiping down of hand rails, etc. Employees were more than happy to take pictures of you with your camera. There was not a "staff" photographer. Cons: Expensive The ride back from the turn-around point was a little boring because they don't play the narration recording They were not enforcing passenger mask wearing inside the car It was a hot day (over 100) and the passenger car a/c was having a hard time keeping up which made for a somewhat uncomfortable ride unless you were in the open-air car

People in the cars were spaced far enough apart that we felt safe from COVID. Everything was clean and sanitized, and there was sanitizing gel available. They provided each person with a packaged snack box (which was tasty!) and a glass of champagne (or sparkling cider). Each car also had a separate outside viewing platform. It was a little bumpier outside but still nice. We actually spent most of our time out there and only went in a few times to cool off a bit. The views were great. It was an enjoyable, relaxing trip, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
