The day tour of the city was very informative, it would be hard to see all the different neighborhoods without the bus tour. The Alcatraz portion was amazing! It's great that you have a reserved time to go out to Alcatraz, but can take any boat back you want, leaving you to decide how much time you want to spend. The night tour was wonderful, tour guide Dave, was absolutely the best.

I don't typically recommend tours since I feel they are a scheme and waste of money. This tour is not the case. SF is a congested city with a lot going on and Alcatraz is an island that has little value if you don't hear the history and story behind it. They will provide you with headphones for a guided audio tour while you walk around. It is pretty cool to experience a jail that held some of the most notorious criminals in history! Hear about how the inmates escaped/or didn't (you decide). Overview: I would recommend this tour to get the full experience of SF and Alcatraz, but primarily Alcatraz. I'm a fellow traveler so I appreciate when other people have given me tips/recommendations while in a new city. If this information is helpful, please let me know by hitting the like button. The Big Bus San Francisco Sightseeing was horrible. The driver blew past almost all the stops not allowing passengers the opportunity to get off the bus. The Alcatraz part of the trip was ok. I would not recommend this tour. Big disappointment.
