The tour took way more than 2 hours so plan accordingly. We did not know what to expect and thought that we would get to see manta rays right away after we got in the water. However, we were in the water for about an hour before the rays came, we got to see them up close and they’re gone within a few minutes. Kris and Buddha worked really hard to make sure we got to see the manta rays. They could have asked us to get out of water and leave since it’s way over the tour hours but they stayed and tried hard to make sure we had the chance to see the rays before the tour ends. Even though we had to wait for the rays for a long time as we all don’t have controls of when the rays come and go, my kids declared this the highlight of the trip. Go with Kris and Budha and you won’t be disappointed.

Aloha Kate, usually yes the manta rays are right there when we get to the manta sight. So glad Kris and Buddha were able to get manta rays for everyone despite the extra time :)

We had an amazing adventure! Our guides - Captain Chris and Guide Buddha were awesome! Funny and made sure that we had the best trip! We were surrounding by 12 Manta Rays - so close you could touch (but don't!). We highly recommend these guides and this trip for everyon!

Respect! Captain Kris and Guide Buddha are the best! We arrived to the sight after a beautiful Hawaiian sunset. The area has other charters viewing the magnificent Manta-Ray creatures as well but those other charters do not respect the waters, the creatures and the guests as much as Kris and Buddha do! We are in nature and therefore respect nature! This team respects the habitat that draw these creatures in and it is our duty to protect that. My family and I were proud to be on their excursion. We felt that Kris and Buddha not only had our safety in mind but that of the Mantas as well. Once you are in the water it is both a peaceful and overwhelming feeling. It is just the sound of your own breathing (snorkel) and with some patience these incredible, quiet, graceful Mantas appear just inches before you barrel rolling in front of you scooping the plankton. There is no other experience like this! Complete your tour of the Big Island with this team!
