Starting out I want to mention that every staff member here was fantastic. They're enthusiastic and friendly. A place like this has the potential to be a sticky mess but the staff was working continuously to keep it clean. However, the overall experience was a big letdown. More like a $10 traveling carnival attraction than a $50+ "museum". I'm glad they send people in in small groups to keep the number of people moving through reasonable. The ice cream we got was fine though nothing special. I would expect a place named the Museum of Ice Cream to have a wide variety of flavors and types of ice creams available for sampling. Maybe some timeless classics, some local favorites, and some examples from around the country and world. I believe we visited all three stations, one with a sorbet, one with two flavors of hard ice cream to choose from, and one with two flavors of soft serve to choose from. I also had much higher expectations on the museum side. We enjoyed the one room with museum content. But it was the kind of display I might expect as a (free or very cheap) side attraction in an airport or shopping mall. How about having actual examples of some of those things to touch, maybe people actually making ice cream flavors with some of that equipment? This place could be a must-do for all ages but right now, it's just an overpriced play area with a little bit of ice cream and a small room of museum content.
