My best friend and I travel from Dallas to San Antonio every year around Christmas time for a girls weekend. In previous years, we had seen the hop on and hop off bus tours and finally decided to go for it this year. Our very first bus driver/tour guide was Robert B, and he was so much fun! He gave us a complete tour of downtown San Antonio and added hilarious commentary to keep us engaged in the experience. He was kind, generous with his time and knowledge, witty, and charming. He has us hooked! Not only will we put our three day ticket to good use while hopping from one end of town to the other this year, but we will continue to add this option to our San Antonio vacations for years to come. Our only regret is that we didn't try this sooner!

I was in San Antonio, TX for just 3 days so I purchased the ticket to take in the "the biggest bang for my buck". I rode the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus tour on arrival. That way I could take in all the ground view and decide what attractions I wanted to do later in the day and on day #2. One of the stops was the Tower of Americas. Fantastic 360 degree view of the city from high in the tower. There is a dining room that turns slowly while you are enjoying a snack, meal or drink. They also have a great gift shop. I finished the Bus Tour and enjoyed the San Antonio River Walk and Cruise. Late afternoon into early evening. No crowds, no long lines and spectacular holiday lights and tree. Relaxing and Fun. A must see and do!
