We again took the’Best of New York’ cruise (same as last year w/ different friends). Tour ‘guide’ Tim Holland again had the microphone and was terrible! He rambled on in monotone and rarely gave specific details about historical sites or interesting info He liked listening to himself talk and we could hardly wait for him to take a break! Buying ‘premier’ tickets is the way to go for this cruise, but be sure to read up on landmarks prior to tour. Guide doesn’t offer much to ‘best of NY’ experience. Cruising along the Hudson water was the only positive.

Easy to purchase tix online and show QR code. Super easy to find, walk and bus/subway to from Penn Station. Our cruise was 10-2-19, 1230 pm from Pier 83, Chris was our tour guide, he was FANTASTIC, A++. The staff that checked us in was courteous, professional, helpful in guiding us to the 2nd boat. The greeter on the boat was nice, the boat staff were super polite, helpful. Chris was outstanding with his knowledge, stories, guidance. It was my 3rd time to take this cruise and I will do it again with family, friends. The boat captain was super smooth on the waters and manage the vessel perfectly around/near the sites and it was a busy day with NYPD boats doing their exercises. It was a top experience. My family and I loved every moment. Thank you very much.

This tour is great for the first time visitor to Manhattan, you get to see the island from both sides, from the water, the different areas of the island, iconic buildings and the many bridges to pass under. The guide was excellent, informative with history and details of the bridges. I suggest the premier seating as you skip-the-line, you get on the boat first, up stairs to your own section, under cover from wind/sun etc. There is a waiter for you to order drinks and food if you want. If you don't purchase the premier seating, then get there early, to line up so you get on the boat first, so that you have choices where to sit, this cruise has a lot of people. This is a pleasant 2.5 hours experience.
