We were picked up at the cruise port, as arranged, by our guide Rick. We had already agreed what sort of things we wanted to see and Rick planned the visit accordingly. We love the outdoors and so wanted to see bears and that's exactly what we saw along with many, many bald eagles. It was breath-taking watching the bear feeding by the salmon stream. Rick knew Ketchican and the other islands well and was able to give us lots of information and also take us some special places, like the beach and to the north of the island to a wonderful park area. Thanks Rick for a great visit and also for the salmon berries, blueberries and huckleberries.

Mark had a nice, laid back approach to our tour. He knew where to go to see bald eagles and black bears. Got lots of photos of both. We also stopped on the beach, where our two boys looked at star fish and played on the shore. We finished with a succinct drive through parts of the town that tour buses don’t go…was a great way to see how folks live in the area. Beautiful and enjoyable experience!

Our guide Rick was superb. He was a wealth of information. The tour was customized to what we wanted to see. We saw a black bear and tons of bald eagles. We were able to learn the history of the totem poles too which was fascinating. Would take this tour again in a heartbeat to learn about Ketchikan.
