Charleston City Market

Our Barn is located just off of the Charleston City Market. You will meet your certified tour guide here and then you will depart on your hour long horse or mule drawn carriage tour. The carriage will go through the City gate at the market where the tour guide is assigned a tour route. You will see about 30 blocks of the historic district which will include beautiful architecture, churches, buildings, gardens and more. The tour returns to the Big Red Barn.

The route is a lottery and I must’ve got the church route. While it was interesting, I wonder what the other routes had to offer. My guide was engaging if not a little cocky!

Everything was great, except that we could hear 40% of what the guide was saying. Mostly due the the noise levels around the coach but the guide would sometimes face us or not and would not speak at a consistently loud enough volume. Some audio solution would greatly up the experience.

Our guides(Alex & Jaelyn were amazing! The horses (Yogi & BooBoo) were very consistent. The ride was very smooth! Loved getting to move through the city while hearing history come alive.
