We did a few of these tours, the one I am reviewing is the downtown loop from Friday August 24. We got on the bus after waiting in line for a while. The driver was older and didn't seem to want to be there. A guy in front of us a bit was asked for his ticket and argued with the driver so the driver gave up and let him on without showing his ticket. There was no access to the driver, nobody could sit below. We sat upstairs and got stuck behind the guy without a ticket. He was clearly on something (I took a video for evidence), yelling "Hey Cheniqua, hey girl, OMG!" at billboards before he peed himself, leaking through the seat, and onto us and our belongings. We tried to get off the bus. The driver stopped at the stops but the door wouldn't open and we had no access to him. I tried the phone there, and nothing. It finally opened and we went up to talk to him, he said he stopped at the stops and we could have gotten off, but as others saw, we couldn't. I called the company and they told me to go to their centre to file a complaint. I said no, I've already lost enough of my time here. They took my statement and said they would get back to me, but never did. We ended up walking quite a distance, had to throw out urine soaked souvenirs, and never returned to these buses. There are a lot of tour companies in NYC, I would not return to this one.

We completely lucked out having Allan France as our tour guide, he was funny, engaging, knowledgeable and helpful.

Where to begin? Firstly it's inconvenient to only have one place to redeem the Sightseeing Pass for the tour (unless you're already in the centre of Manhattan). Secondly, the location of where to redeem it had changed! Many websites were outdated and gave the wrong address. Thirdly, upon finally getting to the correct location, redeeming the tickets, I waited 40 minutes for a bus. This was not at a peak time with NY traffic; this was just after midday. The buses are very few and far between. Then after feeling relieved from finally getting on the bus, I realised that all the other steps had been warning signs! There was no air conditioning despite the unrelenting heat. The volume for the earphones couldn't be altered (the buttons didn't work), making it impossible to turn down the volume. The announcements of where the bus was were 2 minutes late - meaning that the sights had already been passed!! After all of this, I got off the bus after just 10 minutes. DO NOT TAKE THIS AWFUL TOUR.
