We booked this tour on the morning of our first day and it was a great way to start our holiday in San Francisco. We stayed in Castro and learned a lot on this tour. Kathy is a member of the Castro LGBTQQ community. She knows the history, trends, ins and outs. She said hello to a few people on the street and makes the tour slick with toilet breaks, coffee, and ending (I won't give it away!). It may seem a bit pricy at first, but it is competitive when compared to other tours, which I assume are not the real deal like Kathy's tour. She also exudes peace and competence. I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a highlight of our visit to San Francisco. Tour guide Kathy was full of charm, wit, and knowledge of the neighborhood. She has a real passion for LGBTQ rights and community activism and we could feel her enthusiasm. We learned a lot about the evolution of the neighborhood, its culture, and the role of Harvey Milk in the grander scheme of US history. Informative and fun!

This was a really interesting tour. Our guide Kathy was friendly and interesting and really enjoyed discussing the places she was showing us, and our conversations which stemmed from seeing them. The tour was interesting, seeing things and finding out things which you just don't get to know when walking about yourself. It certainly gave more content to the Castro and why it is so important and iconic.
