I've got experience with many guides all over the continental U.S. and can tell you without hesitation that The Wandering Angler has some of the best! I've booked trips with Marc and his team many times over the years, both floats and wades. Not only are the guides knowledgeable and easy to hang out with, but their trucks are clean, their gear is in great condition and even the snacks are yummy. No matter your skill level, you'll have a great day.

Our family of four (with boys 13 and 10) went drift boat fly fishing on the Snake River with Travis. The trip was outstanding. Travis taught us how to fly fish and was patient and positive. We caught many fish. The views were tremendous. We saw osprey, bald eagles, and marmots. I highly recommend Travis and the wandering angler. We cannot wait to return.

Spectacular day on the Snake River with one of the best guides we have ever had. We are not terribly experienced but fly fish a couple times per year ( for many years). Today we had Brendan instructing us and honestly he was truly amazing! Not only did he have incredible knowledge of the water, the currents, he had precise instruction for where to cast and when he would say “ there is a fish that is going to take your line right here!” he was not joking! He was so patient, really really nice, positive and fun. The views, water and success on the water were really amplified having a guide that was so knowledgeable. Could not have had a better outing and he made all the difference!
