Waimea means "reddish water" in Hawaiian. During the winter months, the towering North Shore waves start here in Waimea Bay. The winter swells that roll into the famous Oahu North Shore beaches, generally top out at Waimea Beach Park, on the right-hand side of the bay.

We went as a group of 10 and we all had an amazing experience! Kevin was super nice and fun to be with! We got to see some whales, sharks and a beautiful sunset. 10/10 would recommend if you’re around the North Shore.

He shared his knowledge of the area. He was superb! Thank you for an awesome day.
