The sprawling coastline from Del Mar to Carlsbad is perfect for an electric bike rental. You can see every town in between and still have battery to spare! The coastal Highway 101 is just about as bike friendly as it gets, with designated bike lanes, or shared lanes where bikes may take the entire lane.

We will definitely be back! Justin with Cal Coast Adventures was awesome. He was so friendly and nice. He gave us great recommendations for where to ride. The shop is in a perfect location to bike trails, beaches, restaurants and shopping. The quality of the bikes were great!

Had a GREAT time BUT get familiar with the bike. My first time on one and had a few mishaps; issues were with me lol not bike. Also note you’ll be riding along cars a lot of way. Bike route clearly marked; enjoyed the ride and wasn’t too crowded when I went early May but maybe a little more challenging if busy. Enjoyed stopping in different towns; missed out on enjoying the ocean bc of the weather. Smooth rental process; friendly, helpful staff

We had the pleasure of working with Elias Jordan at Cal Coast Adventures in Solana Beach over President’s weekend. He went above and beyond to help us, answer our questions, accommodate our requests and make our vacation as fun as possible. He was informative about electric bikes, extremely kind and offered his time freely to make our vacation as fun as possible.
