The 12 zip lines and the terrain were beautiful. The course was well built for both safety and fun. The guys (Derek and Brian) were great guides and definitely on the look-out for our safety; but, they also made the day great fun and entertaining. Not only do I recommend Adventureworks at Hot Springs, I can recommend it without reservation!
More about the experience... I've been to more than 5 zip line parks / courses and this one is by far the safest and certainly the most fun. Their approach is safety first when it comes to the personal equipment, the lines, the elevated take-off platforms, and the landings. It's a gravity system, so there's not brakes or gloves to deal with -- thank good ness. Gravity, with a little help from Derek and Brian, starts and stops you.
Climbing the stairs and trekking the elevated pole or rope bridges (there are two with beautiful views) was the biggest challenge from a physical and balance perspective. I think we climbed one tower with more than 10individual stair flights. I'm in decent shape and i was a little out of breath by the time I got to the platform.
Also, if you're afraid of heights, this course will be challenge. The line that takes off from the tree house which you access from another tower and rope bridge, is some 85-feet high. The next one is more than 100 feet if I recall correctly. Other than that, the course is so well designed that physical conditioning isn't a major concern. Plus, Derek and Brian are pretty laid back, good at staying tuned-in to the group, and worked some rest time in when it was necessary without calling anybody out.
Great fun with great staff. Well worth the price!
