The 1692 Salem Historical Day Tour will meet at the Hermetic Arts Center at 272 Essex St. Your Guide will check you in, and the tour will start at the corner of Essex and Sewell St. From there, you will continue down Essex St. to the Witch House. As you walk through Salem to visit each historical site, you will hear a jaw-dropping story covering Salem's history before the trials, what caused the witch hysteria, who were the Judges and Accusers, how residents responded to the accusations, who were the 20 victims, and how the trials came to an end. Just did this yesterday and it was great - as others here have already said, Jeff is an amazing tour guide - not only did he do a great job of educating us about the history of the Salem witch trials but he provided amazing historical context in an effort to help us understand HOW and WHY these events came to be. He clearly cares deeply about Salem's history and it came through in everything he told us. Can't recommend this highly enough!

Such a great tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and local so you get to experience the history and learn about the people and places from someone who actually cares about the people in the stories and not just the gimmick that most tours offer. I highly recommend this tour if you care about the history of Salem.
