The guide was erudite and very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston. The two hours passed without noticing as we were enthralled by the historical explanations which were presented enthusiastically. Worth staying in Charleston for an extra half day before returning home.

I cannot imagine a tour guide being any better than Dennis. He was thorough, yet moved the tour along. He was fun but still conveyed the gravity of the content. He stayed present in the moment, and also gave us many tips about what things to do after the tour. I loved the way he set the stage for who South Carolinians were hundreds of years ago, as well as the effect that had on who present-day residents have become. On a logistical level, Dennis was loud enough to hear easily. He also made sure that every participant had a chance to ask any follow-up questions. If Dennis is indicative of the level of tour guide employed by Low Country Walking Tours, the company is a big winner. Pick them for your next tour! You’ll be elated with the outcome.
