Ojai has a 100-year history of ceramics. Our studio, located a mile from the city center, is surrounded by nature, in the midst of a fruit orchard.

We are a working studio for many of the great artists in the Ojai Valley. Visitors may watch potters work, and may "try their hand" at a range of techniques. After making their pottery, they may may pay a small fee for our staff to trim, glaze and high-fire the work. This "finishing" work takes about 3 weeks. Visitors may also come back to glaze their OWN work. There is no charge for this. AND we will even ship your pieces anywhere in the country...

This was an excellent experience. A highly skilled professional potter, our instructor was knowledgeable and very patient with us first-timers. We each made several pieces that the team at Firestick will finish and ship to us. This was seriously a lot of fun. Highly recommend!
