Our small group, 2-hour whale watching tours offer an intimate experience that larger boats can’t match. Departing from Mala Ramp in Lahaina, we visit the Maui Nui Whale Sanctuary, where humpbacks gather every winter to mate and give birth. With guaranteed whale sightings from December to April, or your next trip is free, you’ll witness these majestic whales up close.

What makes us unique is our focus on an immersive, educational experience. Enjoy front-row seats on our custom-built raft, guided by our marine naturalist, and listen to the whales’ songs using our onboard hydrophone.

As a family-owned business since 1992, we’re passionate about offering eco-friendly whale watching tours that foster a love for the ocean. We believe people protect what they love, and our mission is to inspire guests to appreciate and conserve Maui’s marine life through meaningful encounters with nature.

Levi and DJ are the crew. We enjoyed the pontoon with 6 other passengers. they followed the safety protocols, and knew exactly where the whales were. Notwithstanding the fact the we were in the area where there are ALWAYS whales in season, it was super special and wonderful. Mother and calf, competition pods, well, who can complain. It was first rate and great prices. Highly recommended.

Dive Maui doesn’t even compare to other shops! I’ve been on a few whale watches and have always left disappointed. This time, I’m not sure I could’ve left having seen anymore whales. Captain Justin knew exactly where to be and when. I saw a couple dozen whales, there was almost one in sight the whole time! I had so many questions about them having lived in a desert my whole life. CJ had an answer to every question I had, leaving no stone unturned I couldn’t stump her with any question!! Dive Maui is by far the best I have experienced so far with extremely qualified professionals working for them knowledgeable to every end of the spectrum! Even the guests that came with on the watch were very friendly. I would recommend them to every single person even considering whale watching, look no further your answer is here!

We went out with captain Nick and C.J. this morning for a whale watch and it was amazing! They were so knowledgeable about the whales and offered up some great information. We even got to listen to the whales singing with their underwater microphone. The raft was intimate with a family like atmosphere and the boat was very comfortable! There were tons of whales and the captain was great at putting us in a safe but up close position. The crew provided for such a wonderful experience and I would definitely go with them again.
