Visitors to the Grand Canyon South Rim can experience the expanse of this national park aboard a thrilling sightseeing helicopter tour, and can even enhance this adventure with an optional ground tour upgrade.

From your luxury helicopter, you'll set off over the massive gorges of the Grand Canyon National Park and above the roaring Colorado River. You'll see fantastic aerial sights of the most recognizable regions of the national park, including the oldest exposed rock known to man.

After a short pass over the rugged and dense forestry of the canyon's North Rim, you'll fly back to the South Rim through Dragon Corridor - the deepest and widest area.

Expand the adventure by adding a ground tour onboard a customized open-air Hummer vehicle! Your professional driver will stop at some of the best lookout points at the entire Grand Canyon like Duck on a Rock, Yavapai Point and Moran Point, where you'll have time to explore and take photos at each.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Infant children are considered a lap child if they are under the age of two and have proof of age, such as a passport or a copy of their birth certificate
All passengers 18 years of age and older must present government-issued photo ID
For comfort and weight/balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing 300 lbs or greater will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour
You must arrive 30 minutes prior to your departure time to check in for your tour.

Papillon cancelled our much anticipated helicopter flight the day before - they gave differing reasons - "pilot call out" and "maintenance". They could not offer a replacement helicopter ride for the 2 days we were at the Grand Canyon but did offer to book us onto a cheaper plane ride (another company) which we accepted. However they then effectively overcharged us for that and it was only when I raised this/chased that I got the proper refund.

My flight was supposed to leave at 3:30. I got there very early. I was in the waiting area and heard the staff member talking to other customers It was 3:30 When I said my flight was at 3:30 he said there are no 330 flights Even though I had the confirmation on my phone All he had to do was acknowledge that I had a 330 flight and they needed to make a change It seems there was some kind of error and finally they put me on the 4 o’clock flight I asked to sit in the front because I have some issues with small spaces I was going to pay the extra $60 There was a couple upfront and they didn’t switch with me so I sat in the back, which was OK But the staff didn’t make any effort to speak to them and see if I could change places with one of them The flight was a great experience. The view is really incredible But I wouldn’t suggest someone pay that much money to do it again I did it because two friends told me how absolutely amazing it was Mainly the experience with the helicopter company was really unpleasant In particular for something that was a really big expense for me

We booked this flight because of the possibility to have the chance of a frontseat for our son. As we read the comment that this cannot be guaranteed we called them about the options. In this call they said even though they have to look for the weight and balance there will be a solution. The final solution was - the kid was sitting in back on the middle with no possibility of seeing something. We talked to a supervisor who was really nice and friendly. Fun fact was, we could have a flight 30 minutes later with the kid in the front seat. The kid didn’t want anymore. We got 172 back but still paid 299 which is a lot. We did a lot of flights in countries with stronger laws and we never had problems like this.
