We had a wonderful morning touring Canyon de Chelly. Ben picked us up at our hotel and soon we were at the canyon. Ben was a terrific guide. He grew up in the canyon so was able to provide many insights and point out the many sights. He explained what life was like growing up and what it is like today. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We highly recommend Beauty Way and Ben!

Our guide was very nice and informative but I’m not sure going in the canyon is worth the money. Likely better to drive the rim and self-tour.

Some advantages of visiting Canyon De Chelly is the north and south rim overlooks which offer the opportunity to see the spectacular views for free and it is hard to compare our prices to that. Taking a tour allows visitors to see the bottom of the canyon and get a closer look at Cliff dwellings and rock art that date as early as 200 bc. The guides are Navajo they are able to share their knowledge on our culture and traditions while being able to provide personal stories on living in the canyon. Our 3 hour tour takes you in a Jeep or SUV 26-30 mile trip through the canyon driving in sandy or water terrain while seeing a different prospective of the views of Canyon De Chelly. Hopefully you are able to get a sense of why we have to offer a set price that reflects hired guides time and vehicle expense. It was a wonderful experience seeing the canyon with our Navajo guide, Ben. He was so knowledgeable about Canyon de Chelly having grown up there. Favorite: looking at pictographs and hearing about their meanings to the native people of the past. Highly recommend!
