The guides were as animated and fun as they could be. The weather was perfect and included some gusty wind and light rain off and on. Weather just made temperature 75 degrees and perfect and the lines ran faster being slick.
We have been on zip lines in Mexico and the lines were much longer and ran 1000's of feet above canyon floors. The thrills were obviously greater but if safety is an issue or little ones are with you, this zip line may be perfect. For me, i was expecting more thrilling lines but that is just me. I tend to drive fast, go mtn bike and dirt bike downhill fast and enjoy thrills. This zipline was fun but not necessarily thrilling for me. My first timer sister enjoyed it very much.
We were all set to take 6 guests for $550. We reserved based on that price but had not yet paid. The next day when i called the booking agent (Michael) to pay, he told us that North Shore Zipline suddenly decided to change their rates from $550 to $880 for our group of 6. Since everything else was booked such as jetskis and mtn bikes, we kept our reservation and paid the $880. When we finished rhe zipline tour, the guides asked for tips but after being upcharged $330, i could not bring myself to tip. They then said not.to take phones for.pictures and that they had a photographer. When we tried to buy, they sold individuals the full set of all phots for $20. That included all pictures of the qhole group. But because we had 3 adults and 3 kids, they said they had to charge $10 additional per person so the same set of pictures would cost me $80 that the solo person bought for $20. I did not like being charged this way.
The company needs some changes although the working folks are pretty good. I would like to see music added to ziplines for additional thrills and bbq food at end as an included benefit of the tour. It could be awesome. They say there are homes nearby so you have to keep quiet so i dont see the music happening. And whoa, what if we could do night ziplines with neon lights racing back and forth as you zip. Ok time but room for improvement.
