It was just ok, fun being it was with family. But this activity is more for families with young kids. Not at all what we expected or as described. We should have asked for a refund after first few ziplines. Too many people grouped together, 30 in our group.

This is an excellent way to learn how to zip line. As other reviewers noted, the views are only so-so, but let’s face it, you’re here for the zipping around and the priority has to be on fun and safety for the whole family, which it clearly is. I would encourage anyone who is feeling nervous beforehand to go in with great confidence - nothing was left to chance as we put on the harness, learned how to latch on and move along the lines — which get progressively more challenging as you go but are never more than a minute or two in the air, which is fine! We moved in a group of around 14 people and they were generally fun to hang out with, hope for a nice group of people and good guides because you’ll be spending a lot of time with them waiting around! Top bonus was an excellent photographer at the end who shot some real “keepers” for the old family album. What a hero, and $50 for the entire shot reel felt like a nice deal since we went as a family. We’ve paid a lot more for family photos that meant a lot less. I would have given this five stars but the safety crew took their eye off the ball on one line and a dad came crashing into his kiddies as he came in to land, luckily no one was hurt but I was a bit surprised they let that happen. Also one of my guides was a tiny bit snippy with me, but I do bring that out in some people, so… still fours stars! Just watch out for those little kiddies all the time please!

Getting there in the upper foothills of Haleakala in a sort of "residential" area, we were a bit worried we had gone the wrong way. Finding the sign, we drove into a very large parking/check-in area. They had shaded pavilions and a few games (spikeball, axe throw) you could play while waiting, and a really really cool WWII museum area with a few artifacts and vehicles (including an airplane!) from the period. There's plenty to read/experience while you wait. The fitting of the equipment was quick and efficient, with very friendly people walking us through the process. Once on our way to the zip lines, we enjoyed the interactions we had with our three guides. Just to be clear, if you think you'll be zipping over sweeping jungles and gorges, you'll be disappointed, but if you want a good view of the ocean, and a fun place to see the Maui countryside, you'll love it. The lines are great and cleverly arranged to give you a lot of fun. One required climbing up a steep ladder to a quite high platform for the longest run, and it backed up a bit between parties, but the wait wasn't bad. The guides continued to entertain and we felt they definitely deserved a tip when we were done. It's pricey, but really, what isn't in Maui? And how many people can say they've been zip lining in Hawaii?
