Also included is an opportunity to learn more about Maui's largest WWII historic site, known simply as "Camp Maui". My wife and two daughters (ages 22 and 18) and I love to zipline, and we've been to some really great zip lining courses. This course may not have had the longest or highest ziplines. It's not as deep in the wilderness as some, but it has great guides and a really interesting history. The course is built on a part of what was once Camp Maui which served as the headquarters for the United States 4th Marine Division during WWII. There's even a small museum that houses some cool artifacts and explains the history of the base and the area, most of which has been reclaimed by the surrounding forest. The owner, Derek, joined us on our zipline adventure. He's an interesting guy - very passionate about the history of Camp Maui and happy to answer any questions. Northshore Zipline bills itself as "freestyle zip lining." The guides encouraged us to try spinning, inverted zip lining, and pretty much any other body position we could think of, and they were happy to give us a push or a spin as we left the platforms. At no time did we feel unsafe, and we had a great time. I would definitely recommend North Shore Ziplining to anyone whose looking for some family-friends soft adventure with some great views. And if you go in the morning, you can stop at one of the food trucks in Haiku for lunch. We had a great time!

Great views of the countryside as you zip down the lines to the next tower! The guides made the trip! They were fun and kept us entertained while waiting to go down the next line! I heard they are thinking about getting rid of the guides which would be a BIG mistake!
