The guides make this tour, if you are expected scare the crap out of you heights, don’t take this tour. This is a fairly basic Zipline, which is elevated by the location and the guides. Camp Maui is pretty special, J-Boogie and Marty McFly ‘elevated’ the experience, they were ridiculous and had everyone laughing, meanwhile throwing random bits of trivia at us. My kids (princess papaya and rusty) loved it (Grandpa did too)

Visited Northshore Zipline at Camp Maui on a Friday morning around 10 am. Due to recent rains the lines needed to be checked so we chatted with our guides "Frodo" (Devin) and "Screw Loose" (Allan) who shared a lot of WW II history about the site. We had a great time on the 7 lines - excellent views of the North Shore, mountains, and ocean; the suspension bridges were fun, and the platforms afforded us with very panoramic views. The guides were really energetic, friendly and safety conscious. We've zip lined around 15 times in various locations; Northshore Zipline ranks in the top 5 for sure. We'll be back next year!

I know what you're doing here. You're planning a trip to Maui. You're looking for a few things to do outside the confines of your resort. You have many things competing for their share of your wallet: snorkeling, boat rides, tours, paragliding, on and on and on. You can only choose two... MAYBE three. You can't quite decide and wish someone would just tell you which one to do... Here's why you pick these guys for ziplinging. 1. The car ride along the north shore through Pāʻia is a destination enough, then to get to to zip lining, you're treated to views of Ho'okipa Beach Park. 2. Northshore Zipline is located on the grounds of the U.S. Marine Corp 4th Division base camp from WWII. Enhance your experience by Googling "Camp Maui Marine Base" and learn a little about the hallowed grounds before you go. You can't help but to think of the history as you're zipping over a place that housed 20K Marines 70 years ago. They have WWII artifacts and signage in the office yurt to help tell the story, along with the guide's information. 3. As far as zip lining goes, this 7-line facility has a nice variety of lines, especially ones that go in and out of tree canopies. We went with three families of all ages, and it was appropriate for everyone. 4. The tour guides clearly love what they do and are highly attentive not only for safety, but for making sure guests are having a good time. 5. I've had my share of corny joke-telling adventure guides in the past, but these guys are funny and more importantly they get the kids involved. We traveled from the Grand Wailea resort and glad we did.
