Getting there in the upper foothills of Haleakala in a sort of "residential" area, we were a bit worried we had gone the wrong way. Finding the sign, we drove into a very large parking/check-in area. They had shaded pavilions and a few games (spikeball, axe throw) you could play while waiting, and a really really cool WWII museum area with a few artifacts and vehicles (including an airplane!) from the period. There's plenty to read/experience while you wait.
The fitting of the equipment was quick and efficient, with very friendly people walking us through the process. Once on our way to the zip lines, we enjoyed the interactions we had with our three guides. Just to be clear, if you think you'll be zipping over sweeping jungles and gorges, you'll be disappointed, but if you want a good view of the ocean, and a fun place to see the Maui countryside, you'll love it. The lines are great and cleverly arranged to give you a lot of fun. One required climbing up a steep ladder to a quite high platform for the longest run, and it backed up a bit between parties, but the wait wasn't bad. The guides continued to entertain and we felt they definitely deserved a tip when we were done. It's pricey, but really, what isn't in Maui? And how many people can say they've been zip lining in Hawaii?
