La visite offre une chance de découvrir l'histoire du centre-ville d'Eureka Springs - en commençant avant la fondation de la ville, les personnes qui ont marqué l'histoire du centre-ville et la géographie unique de trois systèmes souterrains - grottes et falaises, la reconstruction de Mud Street et le ruisseau qui coule sous tout cela.

Guests will walk above the Park to see the original location of the Basin Park Spring that was used for healing during the 1880's. They will also see where the Spring is now in the basin of the Park.

Guests will walk up to the Flatiron Building and learn about the history of this iconic (and most photographed) location and the trick about it. Following that they walk up to where the first bank robbery using a vehicle was committed, stories about the three fires, and the history of the Prohibition Era in Downtown Eureka Springs. Venturing further down a secret set of steps that is also a platted street they learn about Carrie Nation who gave her last temperance speech before passing away in Kansas.

If you're into history, this is a "MUST DO" addition to your Eureka Springs activity list. It is a walking tour and you will be traveling up and down stairs, so lace up those walking shoes. I don't recommend the trip for families with small children in strollers...unless you're really fit and can carry that stroller! But the tour was fantastic and very informative. Our guide, Emily, was very friendly.

Thanks so much! You are right it is a lot of walking and not particularly stroller friendly with so many stairs. But so much fun history! Emily is our new guide and is mastering the art of being a tour interperter. We apprecate your support for her - she's going to be a star! You tickets provide funding directly to Main Street Eureka Springs, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the vibrancy of downtown.

Wow! This was a great tour! Our guide was enthusiastic and quite funny at times. This is a walking tour with plenty of stairs so not for the feint of heart. We saw many points of interest and learned a bit of history about all of them. We got caught in a downpour halfway through that made this tour all the more memorable. The guide made the best of the situation and we scurried from dry spot to dry spot as best we could. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes history or anyone who likes a little workout with their history. 5 stars. (Thanks David!)

It was a super informative and very interesting tour! Our guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and friendly! He also gave some good recommendations about places to go while giving the tour between stories. It was really cool learning a lot about the history of this beautiful place! It definitely made my birthday a little better by having such a fun and interesting experience!
