The focus on the heroic firemen that responded to 911 made the tour more interesting I believe. There were several friendly tour employees there who were making sure there were no problems.

Our tour guide brought to life the people who were on the front lines. He also showed us the scenes from all different vantage points around the site and landmarks that we would have never discovered on our own. I found it fascinating the extreme detail and thought that went into the design of the memorial.

When I last visited New York it was 12 months after 9/11. I wanted to see how the area had been regenerated and was not disappointed. Andrew our tour guide was very knowledgable and informative and added personal memories to enhance the tour. If I had just visited on my own, I would have missed so much. In fact our friends who didn’t do the tour had several questions that we were able to answer after our tour. Highly recommended.
