We were quite disappointed with this luau. The food was mediocre. Fish was overly salty. Beef had a weird taste. Pork was ok, but bland. Desserts were pre-portioned. One sad piece of papaya, a small portion of coconut pudding, and a white cake masquerading as pineapple cake. You couldn’t choose what you wanted, which if you are Gluten free and didn’t want the cake, was frustrating. The drinks were watery and tasteless. Our server was running the whole time, and checked in often, which was appreciated. The show was cheesy, was it written in the 60’s and not updated since? It seemed culturally insensitive at times. More history and culture, and less commentary about the dancers bodies would have been appreciated. The dancers worked hard, but didn’t seem quite in sync. A few were more skilled, but overall, the talent was a bit less than we have seen in other luaus. I sadly would not recommend this luau.
