This is one of our staff favorites because you have time to really experience the stunning beauty of the area. There are dozens of incredible high-alpine locations the are ideally suited for heli hiking. Most of them have a view of at least one glacier, sometimes two or three. Depending on the weather, your specific interest and your preference for a more leisurely hike or a steep scramble your guide suggests the best location.

My mom and I went on the heli hiking & photo tour recently with pilot Steven, and it was BEYOND amazing! The highlights were making new friends with the others on the tour, the ice wall, and of course, landing on the Knik Glacier. I can't get over that color blue on the glacier! Don't forget to bring an empty water bottle to fill with glacier water at the Knik Glacier, it's the best water! I could go on and on about how wonderful this trip was, but it really is hard to explain. You just have to see it for yourself.
