Awesome 4 hour private excursion with Curly John! This is our 2nd trip with John - we requested him as our Captain, after having a great experience with him last year. We saw puffins, pomarine jaegars (a new bird species for us all), rafts of sea otters, humpback whales, a colony of sea lions, mountain goats, and harbor porpoises. We had awesome weather and took a chance to go out much further than last time to explore more and it was worth it. John is awesome with his knowledge of the area and wildlife plus a great personality. He worked hard to scope out the best opportunities for us to wildlife. Highly recommend!

This was a fantastic tour of Katchemak Bay! Captain Curly John is the best!! He is knowledgeable, funny, and attentive to his guests. We saw puffins and many other sea birds, a beautiful bald eagle quite close, harbor seals, and a raft of fun sea otters. It was great! We highly recommend.

We booked as a late vacation family event. Heavy fog in the morning caused the trip to be delayed... But WELL WORTH THE WAIT! CPT Curly John & Christie brought us to, what was described as... "Trust us, you won't be disappointed!" In total we watched & enjoyed a super pod of 20+ Orca whales. The two hour trip that we'll remember the rest of or life was THE BEST part of our vacation to Homer. The "peek-a-boo", breaching, & watching an Orca swim directly under our boat was unbelievably AMAZING! Thank you Coldwater Alaska, CPT Curly John & Christine for those experiences & memories. Both of your excitement was infectious & we enjoyed every minute! The DeMaris family
