The tour itself is nice. If you want to drive pass a few iconic spots and make a couple stops to browse/buy, this will work. Our driver/guide was pretty informative about the history of the island and our sightseeing locations. If you're expecting to spend a good amount of time at each stop this isn't the tour for you. You will spend an hour at the turtle snorkeling area though. Horrible customer service rep: I called because it was 5mins till the end of pick up and we were standing in front of our hotel since 7:25am. The email received after booking directed us to be out in front of our hotel. Long story short we needed to be on the side of the hotel for pick up instead. Basically the rep yelled at me, lied about having called me "several times" and also told me that the driver came to the front and we weren't there. He also said that we missed the tour and it was on it's way to start BUT he will call the driver to come pick up us. Erm ok. I didn't feel like I could trust the tour at this point. He was rude, disrespectful and it was uncalled for. It was difficult to get a word in edgewise and I had to listen to him yell the same sentences repeatedly instead of having a conversation with me. This interaction was not very Aloha and I expected more. I followed the directions on the email and I'm the one being reprimanded? Clearly, it could have been handled completely different. Needless to say I was pretty heated when we finally got on the bus.

Well I'm glad you liked your tour. I did hear about what happened and yeah there was some confusion as to where to stand in front of the Ala Moana Hotel. A lot of hotels don't allow tour buses into their valet so it can get frustrating. I think I will make a new video for our guests this Summer on where to stand. That hotel being the shape of a pentagon doesn't help either.

We were a family of 12 that took the bus tour. Pros...seeing many beaches, Dole plantation, Green Coffee Company, Macadamia nut farm, China's man hat, North Shore and snorkeling with turtles. Cons...each stop was about 10 minutes except for snorkeling which we were able to do for an hour. However, it is a bus tour and you cannot expect to be able to be at each stop for long periods of time. The best part of our tour was our driver Kiki. He is amazing! He is a true Hawaiian that loves his heritage and his culture. He told us so many stories as well as play his ukulele and sing. Our adventure was all day and well worth it. We ate at Fumi's and it was delicious! If you want to see the island in one day and have a great time, book this tour and ask for Kiki. You won't be disappointed.
