We visited on a Monday and it was extremely busy, especially with school trips, children wandering about and bumping into to you aimlessly. There is no air conditioning, we visited on a cold and rainy day and it was sweltering inside all the exhibits. Booking time slots should be implemented as it was so busy it was a struggle to see all the exhibitions.

It was exciting from entry as there were already dinosaurs going at it. I lined up for tickets since I had cash but it would have been faster doing everything online. The atrium was nice to look around though while waiting in line. There are a few items in the museum which are ticketed so require an extra ticket to get into. It was $30 to get in and $41 for all the ticketed exhibits so it wasn't excessively expensive. I went with the normal admission since it was my first time there. My first step was into the African diorama and that was amazing. Two floors of animals in their natural habitats. It was nice seeing that throughout the museum within the different spaces. Of course, I headed to the top floor to the dinosaurs and worked my way down. there was just so much to see in all the exhibits and they were all very fascinating. Many areas had hands-on displays. It looks like they combined the old building with a new one. The exploration atrium was something very interesting to see and there were seats to just enjoy the atmosphere. There were a few cafes and shops scattered around the museum. Some of the shops are specialised and specific to their associated area like the gemstone one. I really enjoyed my time here. I think I managed to see most of the displays within a day but it was quite hectic and a lot of walking. The ticketed displays did also look interesting. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
