This adventure was suppose to be the highlight of our trip. It ended up a big disappointment! What we got for $153 per person, we could have done on our own. As written, it sounds like you’re going to spend a nice amount of time with the Amish, learning about their culture and their ways. We did do a little walking on the grounds…looked inside the bakery and left. The Amish people did look at us like we really didn’t belong there. Our guide did try to get someone to give us a carriage ride around the grounds but both people said no. We drove up to see the printing press they use - and since I asked questions, James did answer us. Visiting at the print shop was the highlight of information but only about the printing press. We did shop in the farmers market building. But we could have done that on our own. The picnic left a bit to be desired. The place we went swimming was challenging to get in and out of and the water was chilly for swimming in. Then we were sent onto Morrison Vineyard without our guide. He said that Caroline was expecting us but she had no clue when we got there. She also informed us that they do wine tastings for free every day. So, once again, it was something we could have done on our own! The four of us paid over $500 for this excursion and it was a great let down! I don’t recommend it to anyone! Travelers can visit those places on their own for much less money.

I booked a tour that was portrayed to be a tour in Amish country. I was extremely disappointing. His first question when he saw us was what do want to do and he was supposed to be the tour guide. The Amish market was closed until spring. He then took to an Amish family's house that was not prepared and didn't seem to want us there. He talked about going to the market to get some cheese that never happened. We then went to a picnic area in the Cherokee national forest to eat a very light lunch of just leaves boiled egg warps and hummus. He then took us to a winery to taste wine that not the best I have tasted. I was very disappointed and recommend the that this tour be removed from your website especially during the off season before spring. It was not worth $150 a person

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience in the Amish community. Got to walk around the community and speak with some of the people in the community. I have a found respect for the lifestyle. Of being Amish. We were lucky enough to go on a horse carriage around the property
