We took the trolley tour in Anchorage. The driver was quite informative and humorous. The tour gave a great overview of the city and helped us see that the city is quite walkable. The $45 cost was worth it. The free visitor center at the start/stop is worth visiting; you get a free stamp for your postcard. Also, if Rick(??) is there, ask to see his money collection from around the world. Ever see folding money from North Korea? BTW: We ate lunch at 49th State Brewery downtown and can highly recommend its food and brews. The Bavarian pretzel is one the best ever, including Germany! The views are really nice too. 49th State also has restaurant in the airport, but with limited menu and it isn't nearly as charming.

We were lucky to have Jodi as our driver and tour guide. She was very imformative and we did learn several things we did not know about Alaska and Anchorage. She was a safe driver and at same time had great sense of humor. The process of purchasing the tickets, to boarding to the entire tour was great.
