This was the tour that both my husband and I were stoked for. The day started off with our driver being 10 minutes late. We texted the company to find out that they are running 15 minutes late. This was never communicated to us until we had to seek out the information. Finally, 30 minutes later, our ride arrived. The gentleman that picked us up let us know that there was some confusion and he did pick up, he will be taking us to where our driver for the day will be. We were introduced to Smokey, who will be with us for the day. The gentleman that picked us up made a comment about how Smokey has not done this tour before and he just returned from overseas so "help him out". Our issue was not with this fact, but the lack of preparation that was set up for Smokey and for such a big company, how do they not have some step-by-step day planner for all the tours they offer so anyone can follow up, if in Smokeys situation. Smokey spent the day making calls and keeping up with other tour guides as he was unsure of addresses, time at each stop, and next steps. I felt so bad for him and you can observe he felt uncomfortable and unsure. We arrived late at each stop and were then rushed at each stop, including our lunch. We thanked smokey for agreeing to do this tour, but the company really should be better organized. We knew it was going to be a long day before the tour even started. AS FOR ANTELOPE CANYON! This part was a disappointment. Not only were we greeted with attitude from the AC tour guides commenting how late we are, but we were also then notified that this tour is not the whole canyon, just the upper section. Many of us had the idea we would do both upper and lower. Next, the one reason the AC is visited is because of the views and photos. BE AWARE this is on navajo reservation and you MUST keep your mask on at all times or pay a $2500 fine. This was outrageous. I understand they want to protect their community, but then the tour guide took each one of our phones and took pictures for us ( he knew the right angle). Correct me if im wrong, but if you are so concerned about me wearing my mask, how is you holding my phone that I could have coughed on any different? And $2500?! Wow. I wish I knew that we were unable to take our masks off because I probably wouldnt have wasted my money and time. Also, please be aware that after the AC tour, the walk back to the buses is uphill, on sand, in scorching hot weather. The tour guides dont warn you about this so let them know if you physically cannot do this and they can walk you back the way you came into the canyon to avoid this hike.

We supply a great deal of information regarding the tours we provide so that guests can inform themselves in advance of their tour. Additionally, even more information is available under our FAQ's so there should be limited misunderstanding or unmet expectations. The professional guide slated to conduct your tour had a personal emergency. As a guest oriented organization, rather than cancel your tour, we enlisted the assistance of another guide to work in unison with a team member so that we could provide your scheduled tour. The Navaho Nation is a sovereign nation working to protect an at risk population. When you were confirmed for your tour pickup time, you were informed that you needed a mask at time of pickup as there were points on the tour where you would be required to wear one. Nowhere on the tour description do we indicate that lower canyon is included. Tour description clearly addresses mobility requirements for exiting Antelope Canyon. It is bewildering to us that you never speak of the beauty of Antelope Canyon or the Vermillion Cliffs or Horseshoe Bend. Please see the many many many 5 star reviews on this tour with our company posted on this site.
