My wife and I planned our entire 10 day trip to Arizona around this tour. This bucket list adventure began at 6 AM with our outstanding tour guide Tim Munson picking us up. He was so informative, pleasant, helpful and responsible. Sharing great stories, doing an excellent job driving the van and being so hospitable ( He even dropped us off at our unit at our timeshare) were some of the reasons I rated this tour so well.
As far as the specifics of the stops, we visited Cameron Trading Post. I liked stopping there and checking out all of the interesting things they sell there. I thought most of the things were overpriced, but I did buy a magnet and a T shirt on clearance.
We then went to Horseshoe Bend. The hike to the scenic overlook was great as was the amazing views. We were on our own and had more than enough time to take photographs and check out the scenery.
We then had a great lunch. My wife and I both had the grilled chicken salad. We added more toppings to our salad and found it to be very satisfying.
The next stop was the Antelope Canyon X Tour. Our 90 minute walk into the caverns was led by Marcus. He did such a spectacular job leading us through the caves. What I liked most was his sense of humor and his knowledge of photography. He helped us with using our cell phone's settings that enabled us to get some outstanding pictures. This tour was so informative and exciting. It was not as strenuous as we thought it was going to be which made it easier for us to handle.
We got amazing photographs and loved this tour. Learning about the Navajo culture, understanding about the geology of the area and having a chance to see up close one of the true wonders of the world was simply amazing.
Our next stop on this fantastic adventure was a stop at the scenic Lake Powell Dam.
The views of this man-made lake were spectacular. They have a nice gift shop inside as well as clean bathrooms.
We then made it to a scenic overlook where we took pictures and shopped at the vendors. We enjoyed having the chance to buy souvenirs.
Our last pitstop was Cameron Trading Post for a bathroom break. We dropped off a couple at Flagstaff before winding through the picturesque Oak Creek Canyon. Wish it had been a little more light out as we couldn't seen much detail of the scenery on the way back. This 13.5 hour adventure ended back in Sedona at 7:30 p.m. Such an amazing day with two magnificent tour guides, Tim and Marcus. Truly a spectacular tour!
