It's a bit of a drive but to any conspiracy lover this is a fun trip. Bill was our tour guide and he showed us the lakebed which apparently has a lot of sightings and other stories along the way on way to backgate.
So recommend to anyone thinking of doing it.
I went on this tour last week. We did not have the regular tour guide for this excursion because enough people had booked the tour that they took two vehicles to make the experience more comfortable. We had Marty as our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the areas we visited. I sat in the front passenger seat and felt safe the entire trip. He frequently reminded us that we were in the desert and although didn't feel thirsty, needed to drink a bottle of water at least every two hours so that we did not get dehydrated. He supplied cold water and snacks which he offered complimentary every time we stopped. We had several stops with clean bathrooms and he was always willing to take our pictures with the various signs, or whatever we thought was a nice place for a photo. The Little A'LE' Inn was a cute out of the way place with friendly staff, good food and fun souvenirs. The owner Pat makes some delicious fruit pies from scratch with excellent homemade crust. Our group had people from 3 different countries and not all spoke English. Marty was very good about speaking slowly for the friend who was translating and was always willing to answer any questions. I realized that I had misplaced a couple of souvenirs that I had purchased after I was dropped off at my hotel. Marty went above and beyond to search his SUV and call me regarding that situation. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that would like to experience something out of the ordinary away from the Las Vegas Strip.
Really enjoyed this trip. Dean, our driver kept us entertained all day, although sat in the back of the transport we did find it difficult to hear everything he said. Hence only 4 stars. Would certainly recommend this trip, but try to sit in the front.
