My family had a wonderful experience with Chicago Museum Tours. Brian met us in front of the building and guided us through the Art Institute of Chicago, which was very helpful since it’s such a large museum. He was very knowledgeable and carried a mini portfolio to help describe some of the art in more detail. He provided thoughtful facts and information and customized the tour for us. He was patient and very informative. This trip was a girl’s weekend including my mom and sisters. In light of that, Brian took us to the lower level to begin where there was a visiting exhibit of The Brown Sisters. This intimate series included forty photographs over four decades. Photographer Nicolas Nixon took these pictures each year of the same set of sisters in a similar pose. It was a fun way to begin the tour. Besides that, he expertly guided us through the museum, making a point to ask for any requested artists. At the end, he offered tips for places we could walk through the city to see more art, including life-sized sculptures of some of the “models” in the museum.

This was my first time at the Art Institute. I'm not a huge art buff, but I greatly enjoyed the expert guided tour. I don't think I would've had the same amazing experience without the guided tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. He told us so much interesting history and context and made sure to show us the most famous paintings at the Art Institute. It was a wonderful and highly recommended experience.

This was simply the best art museum tour I've done - not just in Chicago but in any city anywhere! The tour guide had tremendous credentials and perfectly tailored our tour for the pieces and items we wanted to see. He shared insights and details about each work that wouldn't have been readily known using the ordinary audio tours or a guide. It was simply a perfectly tailored and phenomenal experience!
