Your Aurora Ice Fishing tour begins right at your Fairbanks hotel in town, so you don’t need to plan how to get to us and you will save additional taxi costs.

We loved this tour! Tyson was a great guide. He let my son drill a hole, and we all caught fish which Tyson then cooked for a great dinner. He also kept us updated on the lights so we could go out and see them, and he took photos of us. Great guide, great time!

Tyson did a great job as host for this event. He safely drove us to/from the fishing hut, explained how to catch the fish (without hooking ourself or others), and made a great meal out of the fresh salmon that the group caught! He also kept watch for the lights appearance so we didn't have to get too cold while waiting (stove in the hut was very cozy). We appreciated Tyson's experience & knowledge.

On the night of February 15, 2025 my family and I went and did this Ice Fishing excursion with Tyson - such a great great guy!! We had the most fabulous time. Best way to fish - to sit in a warm cabin watching the Northern Lights and just waiting for your fish to bite!! Tyson was so helpful to all of us, so good with my kids, a joy to conversate with and an incredible cook - He is the ONLY one ever to get my kids to eat and like potatoes!! Ever since my son keeps telling me to cook my potatoes the way Tyson did and he will eat them!! My daughter caught 5 fish and beat all of us, all the kids enjoyed it even the little one who didn't get to catch anything but she enjoyed making us all hot chocolate and apple cider, lol. Do NOT pass this excursion by, it truly was one of the best nights of my life!!
