We had never done a food tour before, so weren't quite sure what to expect. Zachary was an excellent guide.. informative and funny. We also had guide-in-training Dave with us which was great because they each shared slightly different facts and stories about Austin.
Our stops included: Brisket at Cooper's, a delicious smoothie at JuiceLand, a unique taco at Velvet Taco, another all-natural taco at Veracruz, a fun soup dumpling at Little Wu and a words-can-hardly-describe-it Monster Cookie from Henbit. In between our stops, Zach wove in the history of Austin, pointed out fun businesses and showed us the famous Driskill hotel.
I would recommend this tour for food lovers as well as an Intro to Austin experience. One of the couples on our tour was even from Austin. We enjoyed the group as a whole and the delightful but unexpected opportunity to connect with our fellow guests as we walked and dined.
Come hungry... we tried to pace ourselves and barely made it, lol. Luckily they package the Monster Cookie so you can take it with you.
