I would recommend spending 55 dollars differently. My girlfriends and I, 6 of us in total, joined this tour on Saturday November 11, 2017. Our guide was Dana I believe. The bikes an=d set up were fine, and it was a nice day. The city itself is cute and interesting. The tour was efficient.
Couple of things I was disappointed in. Tour guide told pretty blah stories and facts. The first fact the tour kicked off with was that in 1492, Christopher Columbus discovered America. I wish I was kidding. Come on, thats offensive and incorrect, and not at all related to Austin. She told stories that were really incomplete and really just simple and confusing facts, without context. Maybe explain why Ladybird is important in general, before launching into her refusal to be credited for the lake. She needed a script and some public speaking help. Also, frustratingly demanding as to how the guests must line up to be spoken at, and yet no real bike safety corralling at road changes.
for the money, the tour guides should be entertaining, kind, and informed, Also, reminder and availability of water would have been basic.
