Awesome experience. I knew nothing about fishing and my son has been wanting to learn how to fish for a long time, but I did not know where to start. When we got there he had everything setup. Walked us through the gear, setup, even how to pick a good spot on the beach (what to look for) The second line was barely in the water we already had our first bluefish of the day. Learned everything I needed to know, had a great time, my son had a blast reeling in catch after catch, and playing in the sand during the free breaks we had. Came home with a big pompano, whiting, and 1 bluefish we kept. (We dumped a bunch back that were too small or not good eat) Can't recommend this more.

I moved from New Jersey to Florida after retirement and wanted to learn about salt water fishing. I started with an experience level of zero before signing up with a 4 hour lesson with Captain Lukas. The 4 hour lesson was worth its weight in gold! I learned how to read the water, how to set up the fishing pole, how to determine what bait to use, how to select your size rod and reel, how to select the lure, how to tie different types of knots to keep the leader, hooks and rigs on and how to cast, reel in the line and how to deal with the unknowns that come with fishing and a lot, lot more! I learned the principles of surf fishing that can apply to river, inlet and even fresh water fishing! Lukas took the time with me and answered any questions I had! He was an an experienced teacher and a great person making the entire experience a wonderful one! I recommend anyone who wants to learn to fish to sign up with his Lukas and his team to learn about fishing or enhance and improve your current fishing skills! I shared with my friends who have been fishing for a while about my experience with Lukas and what I learned. Their reply was “They should have done that years ago! Never thought it was a thing you could do. Money well spent! It will save a fortune in the long run!” I totally agree with my friend! Like anything else, if you want to be good at something you need to take lessons, practice and know what you are doing. If not you waste a lot of time figuring it out yourself, spending money on things you don’t need. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to fast track their learning and most importantly have a lot of fun!

Eric was a great surf fishing guide. My husband had a lot of questions about tackle and fishing technique. Eric patiently answered them all! It was a relaxed morning of catching fish from the beach including my husband’s first keeper pompano. Five stars!
