If you are unfamiliar, snowshoeing is an activity which allows you to travel easily through snow-packed terrain. Experience a compelling introduction into the art of snowshoeing starting right here! We'll take you to the Chugach State Park's Glen Alps just to the east of Anchorage, a place everyone needs to visit at least once while in Alaska.

Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health

Suitable for all physical fitness levels
Experience Suggestions: None required, but you should be able to walk at least 3 miles on flat pavement, or 2.5 miles of uneven rolling terrain over the course of 2 hours. Some parts of the trail are steep and hilly, placing additional stress on areas of the body not impacted by level terrain. Not recommended for those with cardiac or respiratory issues/illness. May be difficult for those with severe joint issues.
Participation waiver signature required prior to departure.

My daughter and I came in for a spring break/senior trip from Atlanta, Ga at the tail end of March and wanted to try snowshoeing. Matt was an awesome guide, picked us up at our hotel and took us to an amazing wilderness adventure that was only a short drive away. We were able to snow shoe on beautiful untouched snow and see amazing views. I think we picked the perfect time to come as there were almost no other people in the park. He took amazing pictures of everyone on the tour which was awesome as his camera was better quality than ours.He even took my daughter on a special sightseeing experience to the top of the peak! He was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the area and we learned quite a bit about the environment. Highly recommend!

Our guides on this tour were very knowledgeable and friendly. They even took the time throughout to adjust the trek based on our comfort level. They made snowshoeing through the mountains a blast. Highly recommend this tour.

Do yourself a favor and book this tour! You will not regret it! Matt is an excellent guide---super personable, patient, knowledgeable, and prepared. The snowshoeing experience itself was MAGICAL! The morning sunlight danced across the sparkling white snow as we trekked our way across the beautiful natural landscape. Some of the views were just breathtaking! Our group was mixed in terms of age and skill level (a teenager, a senior citizen, and me - mid-30s). Matt adapted the experience for each of us, so that everyone was able to participate at a level where we felt comfortable. He also took some great pictures for us. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Anchorage! And it can be yours too. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
