Middle Clear Creek is one of the greatest beginner rafting runs in the nation. With numerous rapids and historical significance, it is hard to deny the value. Although Clear Creek holds more rapids than most any other run in the US, the rapids of our Middle section are straight-forward and perfect for families with children or anyone else looking for something a bit easier. Rafters will also catch glimpses of Colorado's rich gold mining history and maybe even a miner or two as they splash down this unique stretch of whitewater.

We had an excellent first-time whitewater rafting. Downstream Adventures and Mark, our guide, we’re awesome!! We will book with them again on future trips!!

We made a last minute booking for the beginner's rafting trip. Booking experience was simple and quick. When we arrived, the check-in staff were great and sorted us out super quickly. Had to wait a bit for all the participants to arrive, but they all did just before the scheduled time, so no surprises there! Aaron gave the safety briefing - very professional. Hopped on the bus to the launch point - about a 10 minute ride. Got split into groups - altogether there were 5 rafts, with 4-6 people in each. Our party of 3 was teamed up with 3 other folks. We had Maggie as our river guide - she was awesome!!! A little tip - if you sit one the same side as the guide, you are likely to get less wet :-) Thank you Maggie for a lovely time!!!

It was good for our first time. The water was really cold! Our guide was Joe & he was really good. He taught us everything we needed to know & was very informative on the tour. The only thing I wish we had were a little more rapids.
