Go underground on a 1-hour walking history tour through Seattle's original neighborhood. Our experienced guides lead small groups through, and beneath, Pioneer Square to the street level that existed in the 1890s. Explore underground pathways that were built more than 120 years ago, learning details on early Seattle history, why these spaces were built, and how they have been used (and misused) over the years. Marvel at how this once Indian encampment has since transformed into one of the 20 largest cities in the United States.

Very interesting tour! Lots of information about the city of Seattle that we had never heard before. Just 1 hour and 15 minutes so nice short activity.

Our guide was funny, charismatic, and knowledgeable. the introduction/hook into the tour was good. However, the underground part was like going into an unfinished basement. We walked into the basement rooms hoping to see something, but it was just cement walls. Save your money!

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on the tour. We are happy to hear you loved your guide. We strive to make the spaces come alive, but it can be different than imagined. The Seattle Underground is not interconnected, and consists of the under utilized parts of the original first stories of the buildings. Over time many of the historic storefronts have been dismantled by everyday treasure hunters, antique collectors, and property owners. Very little of the old speakeasies and storefronts still exist. Which may give these forgotten spaces an "unfinished basement" feel. My husband and I did the underground tour of Seattle. Rich, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun.
