The tour went too fast. Instead of having a small 5-10 group of folks, there was about 20 people. The guide (a drummer) talked super fast (mostly about himself and his life), walked fast…and we did not have the opportunity to look around. In fact, he only explained to the several at the front of the group…by the time we were able to see the pictures or explore, he was impatiently hurrying us out. In a nutshell, he did not wait for his whole group to keep together…he was on autopilot navigating through his “tour” with too many folks. Such a waste of money and a disappointment. Honestly, if the group size was a bit smaller, it would have been enjoyable to actually hear what he said about the chambers. Don’t use this company!!

Bonnie,
Thanks for taking our tour, and for your post. We have found that 20-24 people is the optimum size for our groups. Usually this is large enough to accommodate demand and allows us to keep our prices down. If the group "stays together" it is also small enough for folks to hear the guide. There are times when groups "stretch out" and our guides should wait for the folks in back to catch up before resuming the tour. They will often make small talk with those in front but it is not information that is integral to the entire tour.
Of course, sometimes we fail and this seems to be the case here. If you will let us know when you took your tour, and the name it was booked under, we will arrange for a full refund. We normally get things right, but when we don't, we try to learn from the situation and we'll be sharing your review with our entire team.
Also, and as an FYI, there is another company that offers similar tours but their maximum group size is 42-47 persons. So if group size is a concern, Beneath The Streets is the better option.
Again, I apologize for your disappointment but appreciate the many valid points that you made. Thank you for bringing them to our attention.
